Mike Floss is a hip hop artist and Native Nashvillian creating art to celebrate, inspire, and explore the human experience through the lens of the Black South. Floss has  opened for artists (including Pusha T, Playboi Carti, Wale, Yo Gotti, Future, and others), touring nationwide, and performing at major festivals including Made In America, Bonnaroo, The Jay-Z headlined Meadows Music fest, and Sloss Fest to name a few. In 2022 he began performing outside the US, amassing millions of streams, and continuing to further his music career. In 2022 he released the EP ‘Contraband’ as the first music artist in residence with the DC based Civil Rights Corps. A body of work that includes vulnerable storytelling of how he was directly impacted by policing and the political pillars of Black Nashville Assembly over booming 808s and soul samples. In result, this project was awarded EP of the year by The Nashville Scene.
